Product Notes: This essential compilation from the Retrieval label offers a chronological deep-dive into the recording career of Adrian Rollini between 1934 and 1938. Rollini, a multi-instrumentalist legend known for his mastery of the bass saxophone and vibraphone, is captured here leading various groups during one of his most prolific periods.

The 25-track collection features a "who's who" of jazz royalty from the era, including appearances by Benny Goodman, Wingy Manone, Jack Teagarden, and Jonah Jones, alongside vocalists Red McKenzie and Ella Logan. The set includes several recognized swing classics such as "Davenport Blues" and "Riverboat Shuffle," as well as two rare tracks sourced from original radio broadcasts.

Expertly remastered by the renowned John R.T. Davies, this release is prized by collectors for its audio fidelity and comprehensive liner notes by Richard M. Sudhalter. It provides a vibrant window into the mid-30s New York jazz scene and the innovative arrangements that made Rollini a pioneer of the genre.
